70 Class Motor Car No 77

Train entering Castlerock station
One of NIR's 70-class DEMU sets brings a Londonderry - Belfast passenger service into Castlerock station. With the exception of one coach, the train is in the original class livery, introduced 1966 and modified only by replacing a UTA crest with the NIR logo from 1968. The last vehicle is a former GNR(I) "P" van, used for parcels. The roof of the since demolished signal cabin can just be seen.

The nameplate 'River Braid' is clearly seen on the side of 77 as it gets ready to depart Ballymena in 1982
